Milwaukee 6390-21 7-1/4-Inch 15-Amp Tilt-Lok Circular Saw customer reviews:
|
Super clean, accurate, and easy - nay - a pleasure to handle.
I am a guy who bought an old 1900 house and didn't know anything whatsoever about carpentry a couple of years ago, so my 'review' should be taken with that in mind. But after buying this place, we decided that new cabinets were essential and after going to Home Depot and seeing the overpriced junk they have there, I decided that even at my worst I could do better than that. I spent several months acquiring the tools necessary for cabinetry but given that my shop space is extremely tight, I was eventually faced with the dilemma of cutting down full sheets of 3/4" ply without the space to do so on my table saw. I did some reading and figured that the Eurekazone EZ-Smart system w/a good circular saw would be a good way to go and went about researching just which circ saw would best suit my needs. If you're like me, and you're researching the myriad options out there, and banging your head against the wall trying to decide which one to spend your hard-earned dough on, I honestly think your search is over. Without getting into a lot of elaborate detail, with a decent Freud blade and the EZ guide system, I'm cutting down 3/4" sheets of Armor Core cherry ply with NO, and I mean NO, tearout. Super, super, clean cuts, that are every bit as good as what I'm getting on my table saw. The only real disadvantage of the Circ saw rig compared to the Tablesaw is the setup time. The cut quality is every bit as good.
GREAT SAW THIS SAW IS GREAT,GOOD BALANCE ,GREAT PRICE, WE USE IT 5-6 DAYS A WEEK EVERY DAY NO PROBLEMS.THE TILT LOCK IS A GREAT FEATURS.
Milwaukee 6390-21 Great saw, lots and lots of power! Quiet (relatively). Comfortable in hand, well balanced and reasonable weight. Looking for other Milwaukee tools now. Arrived well ahead of stated shipping time.
Milwaukee 6390-21 Saw I like this one.
Saw rips and crosscuts very well in 3/4" treated exterior ply, quarter-sawn douglas fir and pine. Edges were true with a reasonably smooth finish from the supplied blade. The sole plate is very sturdy, was square as received, and had good sight-line working from a waist-high bench. The separate accessory guide installed tightly, was square and worked well. Various adjustments were easy and tightened positively. Sawdust ejection not a problem.
I downloaded the manual, which has excellent exploded-view parts/assy. detail. It appears to be true industrial grade.
No cons; just comments. Some of my house wiring dates to 1939, so I have to use care with the power demand that I don't overload a circuit. The Tilt-Lok is not easy, feeling notchy like it doesn't quite release. In-the-US support rep said that was normal, and I don't expect to use that feature much. It's loud compared to my tired 1962 Craftsman 6-1/2.
good circular saw used it continuously for four months on a small project with no problems. Durable, not too heavy, no problems so far. Definitely recommend it for personal use on home projects.
