Dustless Technologies 50001 Turbo Drywall Sander with 7-Foot Extendable Pole Description
|
From the Manufacturer
The Dustless technologies 50001 Turbo Drywall Sander is one of the newest products on the market for sanding drywall. The Vacuum air, supplied by a wet/dry vacuum, drives the orbital power head. The incoming air is drawn over the turbine, which becomes the motor for the TURBINE POWERED SANDER HEAD. The vacuum draws the sanded drywall dust over the turbine, through the extension pole and is contained in the Vacuum. The sander and the extension pole weigh only 3 1/2 pounds, lessening the fatigue associated with sanding drywall. The extendible pole will extend to a total length of over 7 feet making it easy to sand a 10 foot ceiling. Hook and loop paper is used for operator ease of replacing sandpaper. With the supplied adapter, the Turbo Sander may be used as a hand sander for small of enclosed places. The Turbo Drywall Sander comes complete with: Turbo Power Head, 85" Metal extension pole, Sand Paper (3 Grits: 120, 150, 180), Bearing Oil, Hose Adapter for 1 1/2" Hose, Hand Sander Adapter, Static dispersing wire (for hand sander), Owners manual. BECAUSE THE TURBO DRYWALL SANDER IS VACUUM DRIVEN, WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE IT WILL WORK WITH ANY VACUUM OTHER THAT THE 16003, 16004, 16006.

Dustless Technologies 50001 Turbo Drywall Sander with 7-Foot Extendable Pole customer reviews:
|
Loveless products in General I bought the loveless drywall sander and vacuum about 4 years ago. I used the vacuum for all my dry vac needs in the house. It is great for not spreading the dust back out via the vent in the vac like a regular wet/dry vac does.
I have had a few problems with the drywall sander, however, I rate their products so good because of the customer service from the company.
After about 2 years, I tried the drywall sander on a larger project. It was not working good and the vibrating that powers the head stopped with very little preasure. I called loveless. He asked me a few questions, then determined that the was a screw missing on the sanding head. I still was on my first sheet of sandpaper that came with the unit. It may have been lose or not assembled correct. They sent me a brand new sanding head :) Great service.
Today, I went to use it again on a larger sanding project since last time I finished up with my other sanding techniques because I did not want to wait a few days for the sanding head. Well after about 20 minutes, I was getting several shocks. These were from Static electricity. But they did not feel good. I called them up to find out if workaround like wear rubber gloves. They asked if I had the yellow pole? I did, he said about a year ago they replaced with an alluminum pole to solve the issue. He said he will ship me out a new pole. This free replacement is after I have owned the product for over 4 years.
I liked the product and company I also bought the ashless fireplace vac :)
This product does not sand overly fast, but this sander does a great job with collecting the dust. If you are doing remodel work where dust is a concern, this is a great product, and the customer service is outstanding.
Disapointed I was disapointed with the product. After 15 minutes of use, the orbital head slowed down. It stopped within 20 minutes and I was unable to clear the head to continue the job.
don't buy it my Sears wet/dry vacuum works.
this little anemic machine can barely suck up a paper clip and IT DOES NOT suck up sheetrock dust.
No power, gimmick all the way
Sander I read the other reviews before buying this. I am a general contractor with over thirty years of experience. I bought this for working on my own home; didn't expect commercial results. It takes some getting used to and it isn't all that versatile in close quaters, lots of chatter if you move it just the wrong way. It doesn't have enough square inches to properly sand a seam, but then if you want that kind of machine you pay the big bucks and buy the Porter Cable. For what I paid it was worth the money, it will also sand floors which is a plus.
Don't even waste your money! I bought this sander about 2 years ago through Grizzly Industries. I was remodelling my kitchen and wanted a dustless sander. The Porter Cable sander was a little steep in price , so I ordered the Loveless sander. What a piece of garbage. First I wouldn't remove much of the drywall compound no mater what grit I used. If you went to a courser grit it would only leave deep scratches on the wall. The other problem was that the head kept flipping over and gouging out my freshly spackled wall. I even tried to hold the unit in my hand without the sanding stick and it still didn't remove much material. Sometimes you just can't beat the old manual $25 sanding stick. I just recently threw out the Loveless sander. You can't give it away to anyone you know because you know that it will ruin their work. I had only used it once for a total of 30 minutes and put it back in the box. Do yourself a favor and save yourself some money. This product will be a big disappointment if you buy it.
