Handi tool
It is a great tool for measuring existing spaces which I then draw in CAD. No more fighting to hold a tape out as long as possible or having it flop over the lamps and trinkets in the room. Makes measuring by yourself a breeze. Works as promised. The price of this unit made more sense than others given the way I intended to use it. I think I made the right choice.

It really works!
I give it four stars because the idiots did not include an inches only scale. First cut of the day - senior moment. Much care thereafter.
It quickly and accurately measures things. In our case, the infill trim between the lookouts on the gable ends of the house we are remodeling.
With a tape this would be awkward and time consuming and not too accurate and not fun all all. A number of the sticks of trim had to be measured and installed 3 floors up. No scaffolding. Swing from things.
We just set up on every other lookout and measured left, then right and recorded the numbers on the wall and on the cut list. Went very fast and the measurements were spot-on.
Showed it to the drywall sub. He was running his tape out and in and out and in. You can measure a room much faster with one of these. It's great when you have to be very accurate (trim, etc.) or using a tape is very awkward.
Really miss the inches plus fractions. That was a DUH design error.
Handy, useful and easy to use
This has been a huge time-saver. The area calculation will come in handy for indoor measurements.
Outdoors? Just use it when the sun's not out. Daytime, anything over, oh, 40 feet is tricky to measure.
A quick warning: It will set off every shop-lifting sensor I've come across, which is annoying. Leave it in the car when you go shopping.
Handy & Nifty
This measuring device is great. Very handy. Very useful for measuring floor-to-ceiling height when the room has high ceiling. The one thing which makes the Bosch stand out from the Stanley model is the beeping sound when you take a measurement. A simple beeping sound makes a great deal of difference!

Only possible con I can think of:
- you can only store 1 measurement in its memory, though you can add and substract data to/from memory.
