Black & Decker drill press works great for drilling the center holes. It has a 2 1/4 stroke which allows its to drill a hole without repositioning the blanks. Easy to use and built very well for a small bench press....Very satisfied with this amazing product. A great Drill Press! The light is untested. Overall this machine has preformed exactly as I expected it to. It's nice and heavy so I didn't even worry about it tipping over as my initial uses where done without fastening down the unit. The instructions probably could have been clearer on a few things. I feel however that this is a fine drill press for small projects!
