NOT 110/220v as advertised
This Power Inverter has just two outputs sockets an no one switch. Outputs are USB and 110v 60Hz. No 110/220 volts as claimed.
WRONG DESCRIPTION! NO 220V!
This product described as "Universal 12V DC to 110V-220V AC Power Inverter", but this is false!!! Actually it is converter with out 110v 60hz!!!
You can't use this item with devices working on 220v.
BEWARE THIS ITEM IF YOU NEED REALLY 220 VOLTS AT OUTPUT!!!
WRONG SPECIFICATION
The full name of the device is written wrong (Universal 12V DC to 110V-220V AC Power Inverter plus + 5V USB Adapter) on the Amazon.com web page. When I receive the device I have seen that it was written 110V and 60 Hz on the device, not 220V. Also, I measured the voltage by a voltmeter and it has shown 125V AC.
This device may work in US but I don't recommend it for use in European countries.
Does not convert to 220V, only 110v output
The specification on this says it converts power to 110v~220V. This is not true!! ONce you receive the product you realise it can only convert to 110V output!! This was rather disappointing as I travel quite frequently on business and was hoping to be able to use this while on the move wherever I go.
Fortunately for me, some of the main items that I frequently would need to use in the car (my Laptop, Phone charger etc) support 110-220v, so not a complete disaster. However I though I should put this up as a warning for folks in order that they don't get misled by the description on the website!!
I say just avoid item all together
The AC adapter worked the first and only time I tried it; however, the USB port/adapter did not work at all, no matter how much I fiddled with it and different devices I plugged into it. Also, there was a weird burning smell coming from the unit. The name brand on it reads "The Migration Office Migration Family". I have no idea what that could even begin to mean, but half the unit didn't work so even if you luck out and get a good one, how long before it stops working?
I say just avoid this all together. I live for a day when most everything is reviewed online and makers of garbage products like this will no longer have customers.
Also, I have purchased inverters for most of my family and most all of them, no matter the brand or cost, end up breaking in about 1-2 years BECAUSE THEY LEAVE THEM PLUGGED IN ALL THE TIME! Only plug your inverter in when it is in use (unless it is one of the larger units that connects directly to your battery).
