Good for the price. Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5
The unit itself seems to be well made. The screen is clear and the camera and light function well. I have held a provision model and the rigid model which are both slighlty more expensive and I perfer this one.

It has four lights modes (none, bright, brighter, brightest) and a zoom function. The 3/4 inch head is larger then you might think, but putting both a camera and LED on a unit will lead to that. It also ships in its own case. I got the AA battery model as I knew I wouldn't be using this a lot and even with lithium batterys I don't trust them to work if I put this on a shelf for 3-6 months at a time. This was even 10 years from now this unit should function and I won't be looking to replace a lithium battery pack.

Like any model in this range understandingthe proper orientation of what you are looking at will be difficult an the viewing angle will be small and the range may not be great in a long space. This is not a fault of the unit though it is just the constraints on the technology for the price.

Good idea, but... Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5Average rating of 3/5
I just received mine yesterday and... It's going back.

The idea is awesome - that's easy to agree on. But I found three problems in implementation:

1) The depth of field on the camera is too short. Items come into clear view at a very short distance, which makes determining orientation and location very difficult.

2) The LED isn't diffused enough. Using the LED on BRIGHT to obtain more depth creates a bright hot spot on the image. This reduces image clarity.

3) The goose neck is very stiff and not "drivable". While I wouldn't expect a drivable head at this price point, the neck is so stiff that it needs one. :) Trying to snake this *through* a bathtub P-trap would be very difficult.

Not as useful as it would seem... Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5Average rating of 2/5
The camera head is much too large to be practical for use in most confined areas. Also, the gooseneck is too large in diameter and much too heavy (it tends to droop down) to manipulate easily. There is too much glare off the LED light. The LCD display is small, somewhat grainy, and hard to make out at times. I noticed some stress cracks in the plastic body of the unit where the gooseneck meets the body. I don't know how this tool will hold up in the long run. Overall I'd say it's more of a novelty item than something that's truly useful.

Great Inspection Camera Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5Average rating of 5/5
Great product at a very reasonable price. I have been looking at inspection camera systems for a while but could not justify the $600+ price for how I would use it. The Milwaulkee 2300 is small and portable, quick to set up and use and is offered at a great price.

My primary use is to look into floors, walls and ceilings as part of my remodeling business. It allows me a look at what lies behind the wall surface before I get into the demolition. Also lets me minimize the disruption of existing walls when we need to run new wires or pipes.

I purchased the AA batery powered version primarily because I will not use the items every day and don't need to wory about if it is charged ior not. I always have AA batteries on hand in my truck. The slightly lower price for the AA battery vesion was also a plus.

Not everyone needs a video inspection camera, but if you can justify the need, this is a great system.
