Wixey Digital Angle Gauge customer reviews:

Wixey Digital angle gauge I highly recommend this as it worked perfectly. Nice and compact and very consistant. I use it mainly on my table saw for insuring perfect angles and on automotive work "setting pinion angles"
Great Accurate Tool This is a well appreciated addition to my shop. It allows making beveled cuts repeatable to a tenth of a degree.
I was going to purchase an Incra square and probably still will for setting up my 90's on tools and instead decided to go with this first. This accomplished the task just as well. They both have their place because each can do things the other can not. This is an absolute ease to use and allows setting up any bevel angle accurately.
Combine with a dead on square and this tool will allow your shop repeatable accuracy in fractional degrees.
I got mine cheaper at Rockler even with shipping.
Great aid for a perfectionist The Wixey angle gauge is the perfect device for setting up a table saw or similar stationary tool. If you use a good right angle square you can probably set a tool to a 90 degrees +/- 1.0 or even 0.5 degrees. With the Wixey you can get to +/- 0.1, and if you're just a bit of a nut like me that's a good thing. If you're trying to set the 45 degree stop for a table saw or set an angle for cutting crown molding or some other odd angle, the Wixey can't be beat.
Apart from setting up tools when they're new or being checked, it helps you set up jigs, drill bit angles, etc. You can even measure how accurate your right angle squares are. It's easy to zero and easy to use. One odd bit in the design is that the orientation sensor doesn't shut off completely even when the display is off. So the battery apparently has about a 6 month life. But it's easy enough to take the battery out, tape it to the gauge and reinstall it only when you're using the gauge. And Wixey gives you two batteries with the gauge - one already installed and a spare in an unopened package. (They do the same with the height gauage).
Measurements appear to be repeatable to +/- 0.1 degree accuracy. The display was easy to read in my well lit workshop, but I don't know how well it would work in sunlight. There's a competing product made by Beal that's similar.
Very precise and accurate, even came with a spare battery. I got attracted to this gadget when browsing wood working forums.
Very precise and accurate, works as expected and even came with a spare battery.
I could not find a canadian retailer, so I ordered it from here.
It got delivered to Canada within two weeks, as expected.
Ended up a little more expensive than I hoped (35$ US + shipping + exchange rate + border fee = 60$ CAN), but it will pay itself by saving waisted time of trial and errors to get a perfect 90 out of two 45 degrees.
For all woodworkers Okay, my husband asked for this for Christmas. He immediately went to his shop to test this product out & it passed with flying colours. The accuracy is excellent. From what I hear, if you have a mitre saw, you need this gauge. And it's a gadget to go with a power tool. How could you go wrong ?
