Vacmaster VWM510 Wall Mount Wet/Dry Vacuum Powered by Industrial 2-Stage Motor with Remote Control, 5 Gallon, 5 Peak HP customer reviews:

Quiet Power - Amazing Shop-Vac I can't get over how amazing this shop-vac is. I love having it mounted to the wall and wrapping the hoses around the unit when it's not in use. Reminds me of those professional carwash places. There is plenty of attachments for this vacuum that already come with it and I really can't see why you would need anymore attachments. The also feel very durable. I don't think I will even use all of these different attachments. There is also different filters, one for dry and one for wet. They really give you a lot of stuff with this. It even has a nice long plug wire so you don't have to mount it right on top of an outlet or use extension cords.
The remote on the handle is so cool. My only suggestion with the remote is that when you are not using the vac that you just turn the remote switch off. It seems sensitive to other signals. I came into the garage and it was on without me turning it on. That remote has and on/off switch.
This easily has enough hose to go from one side of the garage to the other. The expandable hose is great.
As for the power on this. It is so quiet that at first it gave me the illusion that it was weak because it's so quiet. I was always used to the really loud ear-peircing deafening sound from other shop-vacs. Boy was I wrong. This is one powerful vacuum. Very easy to use in the car, especially with the remote on the handle. So quiet and using the spring expanding hose it never gets in the way. It's like someone is right there with you holding the hose and pulling the slack so you don't trip over it.
There's also a small little sliding panel on the handle that you can slide open a little so it allows a little less pressure on things like seat covers so you can easily vacuum back and forth without it constantly sucking too hard and sticking from suction.
The larger straight attachments are great so you can vacuum the floor without having to bend over at all. I also love the larger hose. It's not that skinny little hose, it's nice and big but not heavy. Being mounted on the wall you don't have to wrestle with a vac on wheels, constantly having to push it or pull it, flipping the hose out of the way. Pulling a little to hard and tipping the vac over or pulling the hose out.
But it would be nice to have an optional wheel deck just in case you needed to use it for one of those jobs where you have to pull it off the wall.
I am completely satisfied with this vacuum, plus it looks great and it goes on the wall. Those are all the right things to show it off. It was very easy to get this approved by the wife. She loves the color, how it looks and how it works. This one is definately a cut about the rest.
Superb Ordered one afternoon received it next morning by 09:00 hand delivered.
Great service.
In manufacturing box not shipping box and packaged
very well.
All parts present, manual easy to understand. Easy to put
together. Chuckled at the "muffler", but It really works.
Cranked it up and the utility nozzle (t-shaped) stuck to the
terrazo so hard I had to take the wands apart to release
the suction. Actually saw it pull dust bunnies from 2 feet
away up. Left the unit in the living room and could vacuum
half the house without moving the unit.
But. This was purchased for the shop so I am looking for
another vacmaster for the house as I do not want a wall mount
in the house. Too ostentatious.
It shall have pride of place in my woodworking shop replacing
an elderly 5 HP from a well known name that never had this
much suction from day one. AND much less footprint in the shop
because you never have enough room in a shop no matter
how big it is. Oh yeah - the input and blower output fit my
tablesaw and other dust collection hoses so I do not have to
replace them.
Well done Vacmaster!
NEVER a shop-vac AGAIN! I always thought the shop-vac was the only all purpouse vac available until I started researching for other products. There is actually quite a bit out there and quite a few OVER PRICED name brands that I would never buy anyway! I mean some of these vacs are $300-$500 - even higher! You've got to be kidding me right? Your out-of-your-fricking mind! WELL....this Vac Master tops the shop-vac by miles! SHOP-VAC's are junk! If you like bursting your ear drums...even with the so called quiet models...then be my guest. Vac Master is quiet and powerful and my wife likes it so much, she won't use the house vac anymore. You can actually talk to another person while the vac is running. NICE vac, Vac Master!
PS - this is actually a wall mount, but I wonder if they have casters or a caddy for this model?
Finally, a vacuum that meets its claims! I'm a car guy and I enjoy detailing my cars...except for the vacuuming part; it seems the hose is never quite long enough and pushing a canister around quickly grows old. I was quite intrigued when I ran across the add for the VWM510, especially with the wall-mount concept and extra long hose. But in all honesty, I figured this was all too good to be true and was prepared for a let down.
My cynicism was quickly laid to rest once I'd unpacked the Vacmaster, as its build quality and design did exceed my expectations; installation was a piece of cake (one needs only to find a single beam), and all the accessories have their own home on the unit. The best part of the experience came when I carried the hose to the car, switched the unit on (via the remote switch) and began cleaning the car. The unit has a strong, steady suction and I was able to easily get into all the nooks and crannies with the supplied attachments. Vacuuming will no longer be the tedious part of detailing my cars.
All in all, this is one product that really sucks, and I mean that in a good way!
High suction low air flow I was very excited to get this unit as I have been previously using a large clumsy 3.0HP (peak) shop vac on wheels. My garage floor space is limited and I really wanted something wall mounted. Two of the best additions I have ever made to my garage are over head air and power on retractable reels. I believe having a wall mounted vac with a long hose would be just as beneficial. Setup was super easy and I had the unit wall mounted with in a few minutes. It only requires one stud and three included screws and your all set. The hose mounted power switch was handy although it didn't always register the button push, sometimes it took 2-3 tries. All these features and great and the included tools are plentiful but the main issue is that that the vacuum isn't all that good at vacuuming. The unit has a good deal of suction if you block off part of the hose or put your hand over it. If you stick something heavy (ex. a small rock) into the hose it will suck it up all the way to the bucket. The problem is the unit does not move a lot of air. I looked all over trying to find the amount of CFM that this unit creates but I was unable to find any specs. If you don't move a lot of air the unit will not suck things up that aren't stuck directly under/in the hose. for instance I had some loss straw that unless I was right on top of the pieces they wouldn't budge. I even tried using the long hose the unit came with on my old shop vac. and it sucked everything as expected. Over all the unit is a good idea with poor execution. After some thorugh research on some of the online car detailing forums I ended up going with the http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00196S08S?ie=UTF8&tag=flickr093-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00196S08S Bissell Garage Pro It is amazing!
